A fun early language resource!
Hungry Monkey is a fun resource package that is sent to you as a download to your email. The resources are used to promote early word combinations and vocabulary development (mainly fruit names and concepts of big, little, same and different). It can be used in individual sessions and also in small language groups. Reinforce the learning using a monkey puppet/toy and pretend fruit.
The program contains:
- A manual
- 3 pages of Auslan signs
- Signing a Sentence tasks (with pacing dots)
- 7 scenes that depicting the monkey and fruit to help a learner practise describing location (prepositions like on, under, next to, in, behind, between, etc.)
- A fun repetitive video of the monkey picking fruit (To practise the structure”I want ______”)
- Cut out “props” to act out scenes
- Cut out cards to learn about fruit names, size and number
